All three disciplines go hand in hand when it comes to understanding buildings or real estate of any kind.
I began drafting at the age of 8, when my father gave me objects to draw and showed me how to use a t-square and triangles. He watched over me as I practiced my hand lettering for hours. Through the years, I learned to draw complete sets of architectural and structural building plans. I even won competitions for mechanical drafting.

Under the mentorship of James R. Johnson, SE one of the top structural engineers in the nation in the 1970's and 80’s, I began learning and preparing structural calculations, drafting structural drawings and studying building codes. I learned in even greater precision, why things must be exactly where they need to be and what could happen if they are not.
During my education as architect, I learned to see and create solutions, what proper design was, and why it matters. This is especially true in buildings and real estate.

Good Architecture solves problems and creates opportunities like nothing else. We have all been in a space, a park, a building that has been designed well. We sometimes can’t put our finger on why or how it feels good, but you instinctively know it when you see it or feel it.
Eventually as a general contractor, I learned means and methods of how buildings are constructed and how components are assembled. The Construction processes educates why and how buildings are built correctly and unfortunately when they are not.
As Forensics professionals, we turn back the clock on each of these disciplines. We investigate and determine where exactly it went wrong, what was missed, what was skipped. We understand the humanity in all of it, it’s achievements and its shortcomings. We look to solve and find the solution to create the path back to optimum. This can be achieved for every real estate asset. And we can help.
